PRODUCT OVERVIEW
HA Box is conceived as a preconfigured local smart-home server that brings devices, dashboards and automations together without making cloud services a requirement for basic operation. It is a separate product from SmartHub 16: HA Box hosts the automation platform; SmartHub 16 connects physical inputs and outputs.

Software
Home Assistant provides a central interface for supported smart-home integrations, dashboards, scenes and automation rules. Individual integrations depend on compatible hardware and configuration; the concept does not imply that every device or protocol is supported out of the box.
SYSTEM INTEGRATION
HA Box provides the local automation and user interface. SmartHub 16 is the separate ESP32-based Ethernet/PoE controller that handles wired switches and outputs. The two can work together over the local network.
